Xiaomi has confirmed its plans to launch the Redmi K80 series this week in China. Positioned as the Redmi brand's most premium offerings for the year, the Redmi K80 duo will debut alongside other devices like the Redmi Watch 5 and Buds 6 Pro. The Redmi K80 Pro is expected to be rebadged as the Poco F7 Ultra next year and seemingly delivers on the performance expectations that name carries.
As shared by Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Redmi K80 Pro performs about as well as any Android smartphone can be expected to, thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, LPDDR5X memory, and UFS 4.0 storage. The K80 Pro records a single-core score of 3050 and a multi-core score of 9216 on Geekbench 6. Those numbers may, perhaps, be bettered by gaming devices like the Asus ROG Phone 9 but are still higher than the average Snapdragon 8 Elite phone.
Graphically, the Redmi K80 Pro performs similarly well, earning a score of 2441 on 3DMark's Steel Nomad Light. Actual gaming performance is solid as well, with the phone delivering peak FPS on games like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Trail, and Honor of Kings while typically keeping its power draw under 4W and avoiding significant FPS drops during the test.
