Given that the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 release is drawing near, it's safe to assume that Rockstar Games currently has its hands full. But it seems that the developers are finally putting a bit of attention towards the aging classic game Bully: Scholarship Edition.
As spotted by X user @TezFunz2, there's a new development branch of the game on SteamDB. This branch, called "qabeta," is password protected, and it's possible that Rockstar Games has already shared this fresh version of Bully with testers. However, this new branch may not be a complete overhaul.
While the Bully: Scholarship Edition was well received by PC gamers, it has some flaws. Players often report unusual crashes and freezes, and Rockstar has yet to offer a proper patch for these issues. So, with the new branch, the developers are potentially fixing the game before making GTA+ for PC official.
In case you're unaware, so far, the GTA+ subscription has been exclusive to console gamers. This membership is mainly to gain access to special Grand Theft Auto 5 perks. Even though GTA 6 won't be available on it, the subscription offers free access to many other Rockstar titles, including Bully.
With the GTA+ for PC subscription reportedly on the horizon, Rockstar Games possibly wants the new batch of subscribers to have an issue-free experience with Bully. All of this will become clear when the update goes live, and that might take some time as the developers are likely busy with the rumored second trailer of GTA 6.
