The Redmi Watch 5 is due to launch on November 27 alongside the Redmi K80 smartphone series. Previously, the company shared the design of the smartwatch, and now, Xiaomi has revealed the wearable's screen specs.

Xiaomi has announced a relatively big launch event on November 27 in China. Several new products will be released on the said date, including the Redmi Watch 5. With a recent teaser image, the company has already showcased the design of the smartwatch, and now, it has shared the screen specs of the wearable.

As Xiaomi's new teaser post on Weibo shows, the Redmi Watch 5 will come with a 2.07-inch AMOLED screen. This panel is said to have a global brightness rating of 1500 nits, which would be a big step up from the display of its predecessor. For reference, the Watch 4 comes with a 1.97-inch screen with a 600 nits max brightness rating.

The latest teaser also confirms that the smartwatch has a screen-to-body ratio of 82%. That's again an improvement over the 74.8% ratio that the Redmi Watch 4 has. As Redmi's product manager Hu Xinxin previously confirmed, the new teaser reveals that the smartwatch has a metal frame with a stainless steel rotating crown, making the wearable look premium.

Other confirmed specs of the Redmi Watch 5 include up to 24-day runtime with the battery saver mode, Xiaomi HyperOS 2, and support for focus notifications. Xinxin also shared that the smartwatch will offer easy access to nine mainstream apps, but the details about these apps haven't been revealed yet. The pricing details are under wraps as well (Watch 5 Active curr. $39.99 on Amazon).

But the good news is that the smartwatch is launching in just a couple of days. Given that the predecessors have made it outside China, Xiaomi is also expected to bring the Redmi Watch 5 to the global market, possibly alongside the rebranded Redmi K80 series.
