Garmin is not waiting around when it comes to rolling out fresh bug fixes for its recent smartwatch releases. For context, the company started rolling out System Software 12.22 earlier this week to the Enduro 3, Fenix E and Fenix 8 (curr. $1,099.99 on Amazon). In summary, that stable update contained 130 changes, 79 of which were bug fixes.
Now, it has started its next software development cycle, commencing with Beta Version 12.31. As a result, Garmin has once again disabled Dive and electrocardiagram (ECG) features, which will return when it has finalised a future stable update. In the meantime, Beta Version 12.31 brings another seven bug fixes to the table.
For example, Garmin now claims to have addressed issues that prevented phone call alert tones from playing. Moreover, alarms should now function properly after migrating from a Fenix 7 to an Enduro 3, Fenix E or Fenix 8. On top of that, Beta Version 12.31 ships with two CIQ-focused bug fixes, which are as follows:
- Fixed CIQ app ability to close with Palm Cover.
- Fixed CIQ watch face display issue after device reset.
- Fixed alarms being set to silent after migrating settings from Fenix 7.
- Fixed missing tones for phone call alerts.
- Fixed event Countdown icon selection via touch.
- Fixed Fishing timer status toggle.
- Fixed Tides app time-out issue.
