A rumor suggests that the OnePlus Watch 3 smartwatch is on the way. X leaker Yogesh Brar mentioned the wearable in a recent post alongside the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R smartphones. The tipster indicated that these devices would be released in countries worldwide “soon”.
There was a series of other rumors earlier this year in connection to the OnePlus Watch 3, though it appears that this information was, in fact, linked to the recently released Watch 2R and Watch 2 eSIM version. The Watch 2R wearable was launched internationally in July as a cheaper alternative to the original Watch 2, which arrived in February. The lower price tag was achieved by switching various materials; for example, the stainless steel casing was replaced with an aluminum alloy equivalent. The Watch 2 eSIM smartwatch arrived in China in July with, as its name indicates, support for LTE connectivity via an eSIM.
This new hint at a OnePlus Watch 3 launch comes as a surprise, given the other wearables that the brand has already released in the past few months. The specifications for the Watch 3 have yet to be revealed, so it remains to be seen what upgrades it might feature over the Watch 2 (curr. $199.99 at Amazon). It is also unclear whether the OnePlus Watch 3 smartwatch will launch at the same time as the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R smartphones.
