Nubia has announced the Watch GT wearable in China. The smartwatch was unveiled at a press conference celebrating the launch of the Nubia Z70 Ultra, the brand’s latest flagship smartphone. The Nubia LiveFlip and Nubia LiveClip earbuds also debuted at the event.
The Watch GT has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 px resolution, a 326 PPI pixel density and an always-on-display mode. The wearable has a metal and glass casing with an unusual translucent band through the middle. You can use the wearable to track exercise using over 100 sports modes, or to monitor biometrics like heart rate. On top of this, the smartwatch offers dual-frequency GPS navigation technology. Thanks to a 450 mAh battery, the company claims that the watch can run for up to 15 days with typical use. Plus, the wearable is said to be IP68 dust and water-resistant.
The Nubia Watch GT smartwatch will retail in China for 699 yuan (~$97). It is unclear whether or when the product could arrive in other regions like Europe, where it already sells phones like the Nubia Z60 Ultra (curr. €806.65 at Amazon).
