Huawei is rolling out firmware version 5.0.0.125(C00M02) to the Watch GT 5 Pro globally. The smartwatch launched earlier this year and has already received a couple of software updates. The latest release, a 46.68 MB file, brings two new features and a couple of improvements to the smartwatch.
In the change log, Huawei notes that it has added a touch protection feature for golfers. Presumably, this is to stop accidental triggers while playing. Plus, there is now support for voice prompts in Brazilian Portuguese during workouts. There are said to be enhancements to the user experience in offline maps, though further details are not provided. On top of this, the descriptions of notification settings have been improved, viewable when you tap on the information icon in the notification center.
It is unclear whether this Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro update, firmware version 5.0.0.125, is rolling out in phases; it has been reported by users in Germany. It also remains to be seen whether a similar update will arrive for the Watch GT 5. Users will be able to download the software via the Huawei Health app. The company recommends that you ensure you have the latest version of the app before starting the download and installation process. The Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro smartwatch is still reduced to €379 at Amazon.
