Barely any time has passed since the likes of Fitness Tracker Test discovered a reference to the unreleased Instinct 3 on a Garmin support page. Typically, an appearance of this kind on its own would not indicate an upcoming release. However, a subsequent leak suggests that the Instinct 2 (curr. $199.99 on Amazon) may be closer to being replaced than previously expected.
Specifically, the Instinct 3 has now been spotted on Garmin's Hungarian website. Unfortunately, the full product listing has not surfaced yet. Instead, it looks as though the device erroneously appeared as a sponsored Google post. Thus, there are very few details to go on for the time being.
For instance, reverse searching the linked device reveals that it is an Enduro 2, not the Instinct 3. Nonetheless, it is evident that an Instinct 2 actually exists and is close to being released. Moreover, the text mentions starting 'the new year with a new watch', thereby implying an early 2025 release. Whether that turns out to be in two months' time as Gadgets & Wearables suggests remains to be seen at this stage.
