Huawei releases new update for Watch GT 5 and Watch GT 5 Pro

A new update, version 5.0.0.101(C00M01), is rolling out to the Huawei Watch GT 5 and Watch GT 5 Pro wearables. This HarmonyOS 5 update has been reported on Reddit by users in countries including the UK, Germany and Malaysia.

Version 5.0.0.101 appears to be a smaller update for the Watch GT 5 smartwatches, with the change log indicating system stability improvements. Further details on what alterations have been made were not provided. The release does not appear to include the new NFC payment feature announced earlier in October. One Reddit user suggested that heart rate measurements during an Indoor Walk workout were more accurate, though no data was provided to back this up. The update follows version 5.0.0.100, which arrived several weeks ago with a new RouteDraw Feature, Calculator app and customization options for gallery watch faces.
