Casio launches new premium MR-G MRGB2100D-1A watch with Bluetooth connectivity
The Casio MR-G MRGB2100D-1A watch is now available in the US. The silver model arrived in the UK in September following a series of rumors earlier in the year. It follows other recent B2100 series releases like the Galápagos-themed G-Shock GA-B2100CD and the G-Shock Full Metal GM-B2100SD.
This Casio watch uses premium materials, like a hard titanium alloy case and a Cobarion alloy topped bezel, which is said to be significantly harder than titanium and has a platinum-like finish. The watch face is protected by sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating, and the wearable comes with a titanium band. While the model has an analog face, it can pair to your smartphone via Bluetooth. This allows various controls via the Casio Watches app, such as automatic time adjustment, watch status display, and a phone finder tool.
Other features include an LED light, the Super Illuminator, full auto-calendar up to the year 2099 and automatic hand home position correction. On top of this, the watch is said to be water-resistant to 200 m (~650 ft) and has Tough Solar charging for up to 5 months of battery life with typical use. You can buy the Casio MRGB2100D-1A smartwatch for $4,200/£3,700. It is unclear when the wearable will launch in other markets.
