New Casio G-Shock GMD-S5610MA-7ER designed with luxury brand Marni launches

Casio and Marni have collaborated on the G-Shock GMD-S5610MA-7ER, now available worldwide. Also known as the Marni x G-Shock Watch, the model features a design from the Italian luxury fashion brand. The digital watch is part of the Casio 5600 series, designed for women.

The Marni x G-Shock Watch has an eye-catching red and black pattern, repeating a hand-painted version of the Marni logo. The design sits on a white background and runs horizontally from one tip of the watch strap to the other. As with other 5600 models, the watch features an automatic calendar up to the year 2099, a 1/110-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and alarms. An LED backlight makes it easier to read the digital display in low lighting, and the watch is expected to run for up to three years on a CR1616 battery.

The resin watch measures 45.7 x 40.5 x 11.9 mm (~1.8 x 1.6 x 0.5 inches) and is water resistant up to 200 m (~656 ft). The Marni x G-Shock Watch or Casio G-Shock GMD-S5610MA-7ER is now available to order for $260/£210/€235. The model is also expected to go on sale in Japan on November 6th.
