Casio launches G-Shock MTG-B2000YST-1AER "Storm Chaser" with rainbow IP bezel and multi-layer carbon frame
Casio has been on a spree lately, having launched the G-SHOCK Flame Inside collection and the Urban utility series very recently. The Japanese company has now unveiled its latest addition to the G-SHOCK line - the MTG-B2000YST-1AER. This model, part of Casio's MT-G series, features both general durability and resistance, using a mix of carbon and metal components in its construction for resilience against shocks, centrifugal force, and vibrations.
The 104-gram MTG-B2000YST-1AER is equipped with a sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating for scratch resistance and visibility. It features 200 meters of water resistance, making it suitable for a range of conditions, from daily wear to more extreme environments. Additionally, the watch includes a battery level indicator, countdown timer, and stopwatch with a 24-hour measuring capacity.
As seen in numerous other models as well, the watch comes with Tough Solar power, which lets the timepiece harness solar energy, cutting down on the need for frequent battery changes. The model is also Bluetooth-enabled, allowing users to connect to the CASIO WATCHES app, where they can access additional functionality, including automatic time updates and world time display across major cities.
The watch showcases a unique rainbow IP bezel (a bezel treated with ion plating technique), which is meant to symbolize stormy skies transitioning from calm to intense. The layered bezel and band materials ultimately add both style and durability to the watch's resilient design.
Currently, the watch is exclusively listed on the Casio UK website for £1,299.00, which translates to approximately $1,670 USD. However, as per G-Central, the US price will likely be $1,450. The availability of the watch is also unconfirmed as of now.
