Muse Wearables Ring One: Smart ring shipping delayed again
Shipping of the Muse Wearables Ring One has been delayed again. An Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the smart health tracking wearable launched in October 2023, raising almost $1.7 million from over 7,500 backers.
The Ring One promises many features, including cuffless blood pressure measurements and contactless payments. At the campaign launch, delivery was estimated for December 2023. However, this shipping date has been postponed multiple times. Most recently, the brand announced that many customers would be waiting until 2025 to receive their smart ring.
Muse Wearables claims to have dispatched some units earlier this year and states it has since shipped 500 units to backers in India, scheduled to arrive by November 7th. However, social media reports of backers receiving the ring have yet to surface. Shipping is then expected to be paused for a short time while the company gathers feedback and makes any necessary software tweaks.
Superbacker orders are scheduled to ship by December 13th, according to Muse Wearables, with all other orders estimated for delivery in January or February 2025. Based on the lack of communication from the company and repeated postponements, some backers have gone so far as to suggest on social media that this is an elaborate scam. It remains to be seen whether Muse Wearables will finally deliver the smart ring to backers in the next few months. We would advise considering smart rings from other brands, like the Oura Ring 4 (curr. $499 at Amazon).
