Ring One smart ring with blood pressure sensor and NFC now crowdfunding
The Ring One smart ring is now crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The campaign from Muse Wearables, which was unveiled last month, has already received over US$455,000 from more than 2,500 backers, surpassing its funding goal of US$20,000. Currently, the lowest pledge level is the "Early Backer Special", allowing you to buy the ring for US$172, a 42% discount on the US$298 RRP.
You also have the option to pledge for the 18K Gold special edition of the Ring One, priced at US$599 at Indiegogo. This gadget version is expected to retail for US$799, meaning early customers get US$200 or 25% off. The company delivers worldwide with an estimated shipping date of December 2023. All purchases come with a smart charging case, a year's warranty, a lifetime free subscription to the Muse app and a sizing kit.
The Ring One is a health-tracking wearable with sensors to track your blood pressure, skin temperature, heart rate and SpO2 level. You can also use the smart ring to make contactless payments or as an NFC-based digital key 2.0 for your car. Plus, an unusual turn wheel interface sits in the middle of the ring, with uses such as switching between workout modes or for an additional layer of security when making a payment. According to the brand, the device lasts up to seven days and is ten times lighter than the average smartwatch. The Indiegogo campaign for the Muse Wearables Ring One will end on November 2nd.
