Xiaomi Smart Band 8 now available in EU with various accessories
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is now available in the EU. The wearable arrived in China earlier this year, with a leak suggesting a fall launch in Europe. The sporty smartwatch has a 1.62-in (~41 mm) 60Hz AMOLED display with a 192 x 490 px resolution and up to 600 nits brightness, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
You can use the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 to track more than 150 activities, providing real-time insights, and the gadget comes with ten pre-set running courses. Health monitoring features of the smartwatch include heart rate and blood oxygen level sensors, and you can also monitor your sleep and menstrual cycle. The wearable is water resistant to 5 ATMs and comes with over 200 watch faces, including some featuring games. An Apollo 4 Blue Lite chipset powers the device, and a 190 mAh battery allows you to use the gadget for up to 16 days between charges. According to Xiaomi, you can fully recharge the watch in an hour thanks to a new quick-charging tool.
Smart band options include braided, leather, double chain and stainless steel chain to suit your style or the occasion. You can also detach the watch from the bracelet and use accessories to attach the device in “pendant mode” to your trainer, wear it as a necklace or hide it in a pocket. Including the bracelet, the gadget weighs 27g (~0.95 oz). You can now buy the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 in gold or graphite black in the EU for €39.99. Customers who order the wearable before September 28th are eligible to receive a free Running Clip with their purchase.
