Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active arrives for under US$20 following Smart Band 8 launch
Over a week has passed since Xiaomi unveiled the Smart Band 8 globally, roughly five months after the company showcased the fitness tracker in China. Additionally, it has quietly released a second Smart Band 8 model, albeit not the Smart Band 8 Pro. For reference, the Smart Band 8 Pro launched in China less than two months ago, meaning that is likely a little soon for the device to make a global appearance.
Instead, Xiaomi has released the Smart Band 8 Active, a cheaper alternative to the regular Smart Band 8. According to @kacskrz, the Smart Band 8 Active is a re-branded Redmi Smart Band 2, which debuted in Europe at the beginning of the year. However, the Redmi Smart Band 2 started out last December in China as the Redmi Band 2.
