Garmin Public Beta 2.56 is now available for the Venu Sq 2 smartwatch. The changelog for the new software details three updates compared to version 2.51, released a couple of months ago. Firstly, Garmin says it has improved ANT+ and Bluetooth, though it does not provide details of the enhancements.
Also included with Beta update 2.56 are Connect IQ bug fixes and improvements; no specifics are listed. Plus, the system stability has been boosted. Provided alongside the new software are sensor hub update 27.11 and graphics update 1.13. Precisely what these updates include remains to be determined. The software will be automatically delivered to eligible wearables via Garmin Connect Manager. Your smartwatch will check for the update daily, with the company noting that installation may take several hours.
The update to the Venu Sq 2 smartwatch is a Release Candidate, meaning that Garmin intends to share an identical public version of the software shortly, assuming no significant bugs are flagged during this Beta testing. As usual, Garmin asks its Beta testers to log any issues in the Bug Reports forum; so far, no problems have been logged. Should you wish to join the Garmin Beta Program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
