Full Google Pixel Watch 2 product page leaks before official launch
Leaker Kamila Wojciechowska has published what appears to be a full Google Store page of the Pixel Watch 2, shortly before the smartwatch's official release. Incidentally, the same leaker recently shared equivalent images of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which Google will launch during the same event on October 4. For reference, an extensive Pixel 8 Pro leak has revealed major hardware information, which we have covered separately.
As for the Pixel Watch 2, the Google Store listing confirms that the smartwatch relies on an aluminium build. In comparison, Google designed the original Pixel Watch with a stainless steel housing, a typically more expensive material that is also heavier but more scratch-resistant than aluminium. Additionally, Google will advertise the Pixel Watch 2 as needing 1:20 hours to reach full charge from 0%, which is unchanged from its predecessor.
Likewise, Google states an unchanged 24 hours of battery life, despite rumours of the company moving to a more efficient Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1-derived chipset. In fact, the Google Store listing does not mention a chipset upgrade whatsoever. Conversely, Google boasts that the new Pixel Watch can automatically track workouts, unlike the original model. Moreover, Google has equipped the Pixel Watch 2 with an improved health sensor array and refined safety features.
