Garmin has pushed another beta update for the Fenix 7 series and its equivalents. The new update is rolling out as Beta Version 14.68 and is designed to resolve various outstanding bugs, including those that could cause system crashes and synchronisation issues.

Garmin has begun rolling out a new beta build for the Fenix 7 and Epix 2 series, as well as the Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and MARQ Gen 2. To recap, the company released Beta Version 14.67 roughly two weeks ago with half a dozen changes from Beta Version 14.66 that arrived only a few days before. Predictably, Garmin has replaced Beta Version 14.67 with Beta Version 14.68, which can be downloaded immediately if necessary.

For reference, Garmin explains that smartwatches enrolled on its Beta Program will automatically receive Beta Version 14.68 within the next day or so. However, it is possible to trigger its download whenever by heading to Menu, System, Software Update and then tapping 'Check For Updates' on your smartwatch. Please note that this does not apply to the Tactix 7 or MARQ Aviator Gen 2, which Garmin still prevents from receiving public beta updates.

For the Fenix 7 series and its equivalents, Garmin claims to have addressed eight outstanding issues, including several that could cause system crashes. Additionally, Beta Version 14.68 should resolve a few synchronisation bugs while also improving the stock music player. Please see Garmin's forum post and the changelog below for more details.

Beta Version 14.68 (changes since v14.67)

  • Fixed a potential crash when syncing with phone.
  • Fixed a potential issue with inability to sync after pairing to Garmin Express.
  • Fixed issue where Body Battery was incorrectly written to some activities.
  • Fixed possible issue with Thai language.
  • Fixed possible UI issue with the music player.
  • Fixed potential shutdown in plan overview for a primary race.
  • Fixed some translation issues.
  • Fixes and improvements to the music player.
