Garmin has rolled out Beta 16.10 for the Venu 2, Venu 2S and Venu 2 Plus smartwatches. This is the first release in the 16.xx series, with the previous update, v15.20, arriving several weeks ago. The changelog for the new software is relatively short, stating that there are bug fixes and improvements to Connect IQ. However, further details on what has changed still need to be provided.
Beta 16.10 also includes a Text Language update, version 4.02. Again, Garmin has yet to explain how this enhances the Venu 2 smartwatches. The update will be automatically delivered to eligible Venu 2 series devices via Garmin Connect Manager, with the wearables checked for the software daily. You can also manually download the update by going to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update.
Garmin asks that should you encounter any issues with the software, you report them in the Bug Reports section of the forum; at the time of writing, no problems have been logged here. If you own a Venu 2, Venu 2S, or Venu 2 Plus smartwatch and wish to join the Garmin Beta Program, you can do so via Garmin Connect. In other news, the Garmin Venu Sq 2 wearable recently received Public Beta software 2.56, including a new graphics update.
