MySmartPrice and @MysteryLupin have leaked various details about the Fitbit Charge 6, shortly before the fitness tracker's release. For context, Fitbit teased a new device earlier this month, during which it briefly showed what appeared to be an unreleased fitness tracker. While the company did not name the device it intended to launch, it resembled a Charge 5.
As expected, Fitbit has developed the Charge 6, a fitness tracker with far greater Google integration than previous models. Specifically, the Fitbit Charge 6 supports Google Maps, Google Wallet and YouTube Music. Thus, Fitbit's next fitness tracker has GPS and NFC modules for providing location services and mobile payments.
Additionally, the Charge 6 can take ECGs, has SpO2 and skin temperature sensors, and over 40 pre-installed sports modes. Moreover, @MysteryLupin states that the fitness tracker will deliver up to 7 days of battery life. Incidentally, both @MysteryLupin and MySmartPrice note that Fitbit has added a new navigation button, which is said to be used for heading back to the home screen or pulling up certain stats.
The Charge 6 is rumoured to be available for US$159 in Coral, Obsidian and Porcelain colour options. Currently, Fitbit is expected to introduce its next fitness tracker on September 28. However, there are no suggestions that the company plans to introduce successors to the Sense 2 or Versa 4.
