Garmin Fenix 6, Enduro and MARQ smartwatches receive Beta 26.79 with new features and update for Ski activity

The Garmin wearables now have a Connect IQ Rating tool, no longer restricted to Apps. Beta v26.79 also improves the Auto Run feature for Ski and Snowboard activities. Previously, the tool would automatically pause when you used the chairlift; this is no longer the case, meaning the whole activity is tracked. This means users could see unusual data in Connect until the software is rolled out more widely. Garmin suggests that the data will be more accurate due to the change, though the run count could double as downhill and lift portions of historical activities will be counted as individual runs.

The Fenix 6 Pro and Fenix 6s Pro models can trigger a manual software update over Wi-Fi via the settings menu. Plus, these smartwatches now have better randomness when you shuffle your music. Bug fixes include addressing an issue with alarms not activating as activity and sorting a problem with the Indoor Bike activity defaulting to the initial data field set.
