Oura has released three new stress and recovery-focused tools for its smart rings: Daytime Stress, Reflections and Stress Resilience. The new tools were unveiled at a presentation at the 2023 HLTH Conference in Las Vegas, alongside a new brushed titanium finish for the Horizon health tracking wearable.
The Daytime Stress feature uses health metrics like your heart rate, HRV and skin temperature to detect stress triggers. The data is logged every 15 minutes, allowing you to monitor how your stress levels vary across the day. Reflections is a journaling tool powered by AI, designed to help you to lower your stress levels. Customers can use this app-based feature to log their mood and mental state with a short voice recording or written paragraph. AI transcribes speech to text and automatically applies tags to provide an overview of your entries.
Stress Resilience looks at how well you deal with physiological stress, collating daytime stress, daytime recovery and sleep recovery data. Alongside these insights, the feature provides recommendations for how to improve your health. Daytime Stress is now available to all Oura members, while Reflections has arrived in the beta for iOS. Resilience will roll out to eligible wearables later this year. You can now buy the Brushed Titanium version of the Oura Horizon smart ring for US$449, putting it in the middle of the range with other finishes priced from US$349 for Silver to US$549 for Rose Gold.
