Several new features from Garmin and two new smartwatch models are rumored to be in the works. As reported by the5krunner, from an unknown source, improvements will be made to Garmin Connect, new health tracking tools will be added, and additional workout personalization will be made possible.

New Garmin features and smartwatch models are rumored to be on the way; a report by the5krunner shares insider insights from an unknown source. Firstly, Garmin will provide more personalization in Garmin Connect through Focus. Focus options could include Performance, Fitness and Health, adjusting the metrics displayed on the app’s home screen. It is thought that any goals or challenges underway will also be given a more prominent position.

Garmin is expected to add overnight skin temperature tracking, a feature first rumored earlier this year. The measurements will be taken using sensors already built into various models. Another new tool is Self Guided Plans, which you will be able to use to create a personalized workout plan with race distance goals and a target number of weekly workouts. Plus, a new Workout Benefit feature will help you to determine which workouts to use to target ‘High Exertion’, ‘Improving Health’, ‘Improving VO2Max’ and ‘Maintaining Speed’. This could be linked to the Self Guided Plans tool, quickly filtering to find suitable workouts for your timetable.

We also recently reported that a new SpO2 events field had been spotted in the Garmin Connect app. Lastly, rumors suggest that two new watches are on the way. The new Garmin models are thought to be in the Fenix/Epix category, with the5krunner proposing that the new wearable could be in the Enduro range. It is unclear when Garmin will officially announce these new features or wearables.
