OnePlus has introduced the Pad Go, its second tablet and one that it positions as a cheaper alternative to the OnePlus Pad. Thus, the OnePlus Pad Go should serve as a foil to the Redmi Pad SE that Xiaomi launched over the summer. According to OnePlus, the Pad Go has a high-resolution IPS display that operates natively at 2,408 x 1,720 pixels with a 90 Hz refresh rate while measuring 11.35-inches across.
Additionally, the display is said to cover 96% of the NTSC colour space and 400 nits maximum brightness. OnePlus underpins the large display with an 8,000 mAh battery, which it rates for up to 14 hours of usage or up to 21 days in standby mode. As always, OnePlus has included SuperVOOC charging, albeit a version that peaks at 33 W over USB Type-C. Moreover, OnePlus has included a pair of 8 MP cameras, quad speakers that support Dolby Atmos and a MicroSD card reader, should you need more than the 128 GB or 256 GB that OnePlus provides.
Meanwhile, the MediaTek Helio G99 powers proceedings with its two ARM Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 CPU cores, a Mali-G57 MP2 GPU and a 6 nm manufacturing process. Incidentally, the Helio G99 supports LTE, which is optional, as well as Qualcomm aptX HD and Sony LDAC Bluetooth codecs. Currently, OnePlus has only launched Pad Go in India, with no confirmation offered about global availability.
For reference, the OnePlus Pad Go starts at INR 19,999 (~US$241) with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the tablet can be purchased with its LTE modem activated in the same memory configuration for INR 21,999 (~US$265). Also, OnePlus has created a fully specced model with 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage and LTE connectivity that it sells for INR 23,999 (~US$289). OnePlus will begin selling all three Pad Go SKUs in a Twin Mint colourway on October 20.
