OnePlus' inaugural Pad has been on the market for more than a year now. However, according to a typically knowledgeable leaker, its fans will have to wait yet longer for a second generation. The Pad2 may or may not upgrade to a newer SoC for a larger 3.1K display, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7.

The Vivo Pad3 Pro debuted with a relatively enlarged 13-inch display with a 3096 x 2064 resolution driven by the Dimensity 9300 SoC.

Given that it is now also tipped to undergo a re-brand in order to launch as a second-gen flagship slate from its subsidiary iQOO, it just might also be available to another Vivo sister brand - OnePlus - to launch as its own Pad2.

Max Jambor, a tipster who tends to specialize in OnePlus predictions, now asserts that the device is indeed on the way - just not until the first half of 2024 has passed.

Should that be the case, it might also launch without the distinctive 7:5 aspect ratio that Vivo, OnePlus and OPPO tried to make a thing in 2023.

Presuming the Vivo Pad3 Pro = oneday OnePlus Pad2 line of speculation pans out, the device might have a larger, ~11,000mAh battery, yet charge at about the same rate as its predecessor at 66W.

Meanwhile, the first-gen Pad is still available on Amazon at a "Limited Time Deal" price of $399.99.
