Vivo Pad3 Pro revealed as new Apple iPad Pro 12.9 and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 competitor with flagship specs
Vivo has now released the Pad3 Pro in its home market, just over a week after its General Manager and Vice President showcased the tablet on Weibo. As expected, the Vivo Pad3 Pro has arrived as somewhat of an Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (curr. $829.95 refurbished on Amazon) competitor thanks to its 13-inch display. By extension, the Pad3 Pro also rivals the Pad 6S Pro 12.4 that Xiaomi launched last month during MWC 2024.
According to Vivo, the Pad3 Pro's display outputs at 2,096 x 2,072 pixels with a 144 Hz frame rate, 900 nits peak brightness and active stylus support. Additionally, Vivo equips the tablet with a Dimensity 9300 chipset that integrates four ARM Cortex-X4 performance cores clocked at 3.25 GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores limited to 2 GHz. On top of that, the MediaTek chipset brings Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity to the Pad3 Pro; optional LTE is missing, though.
Furthermore, the Pad3 Pro comes with an 11,500 mAh battery that can be recharged at up to 66 W, unlike many of its competitors. Currently, Vivo has not confirmed whether it intends to sell the Pad3 Pro globally. Instead, the Android 14 tablet remains a Chinese exclusive for the time being, where it starts at CNY 2,999 (~$415) with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the tablet can be configured with three other memory configurations up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for CNY 3,999 (~$554).
