Teclast M50 Mini announced as new compact tablet running Android 14 with LTE connectivity
IT Home has shared early details for a new Teclast tablet, shortly after the company introduced the P30 and P50. This time, the company is returning to its M50 series with the M50 Mini, a tablet that is said to weigh 345 g thanks to its 8.5 mm housing. As its name suggests, the M50 Mini is much smaller than the M50, M50 HD and M50 Pro, which all feature 10.1-inch displays.
By contrast, the M50 Mini has an 8.7-inch display that utilises IPS technology. It remains to be seen what resolution the panel outputs at though, nor its native refresh rate or peak brightness. Nonetheless, IT Home has confirmed that the M50 Mini relies upon the same Unisoc Tiger T606 chipset that we have tested in the M50 HD, T40 HD and T45 HD.
Moreover, the tablet supports LTE connectivity with two Nano SIM card slots and contains 6 GB of RAM, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged via a USB Type-C port. On top of that, the M50 Mini has 128 GB of expandable storage, plus 5 MP front-facing and 13 MP rear-facing cameras. Unfortunately, a release date remains unknown for now, as does launch pricing.
