First Xiaomi POCO tablet could launch this summer with active stylus support
MySmartPrice has come across a new Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification that could relate to its rumoured POCO tablet. To recap, Xiaomi submitted '2405CPCFBG' to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) last month, details of which we have covered separately. In short, although the EEC did not provide too many details about 2405CPCFBG, the regulatory body identified it as a POCO-branded tablet.
Now, the FCC has certified 2407CMPBCG for sale in the US. According to the US-based body, Xiaomi intends to sell 2407CMPBCG as the POCO Stylus. Given that there are no suggestions that Xiaomi is planning to offer a foldable smartphone globally under its POCO brand, it would seem that 2407CMPBCG is an accessory of 2405CPCFBG. Incidentally, Xiaomi recently listed the Redmi Stylus for Pad globally, which it claims is designed for the Redmi Pad SE (curr. $169.50 on Amazon).
While the Redmi Stylus for Pad is passive, the POCO Stylus appears to be an active stylus with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity. Unfortunately, other details about the POCO Stylus and its accompanying tablet remain unknown for now. With that being said, the stylus' model number implies that Xiaomi is targeting a July 2024 release with the POCO tablet running HyperOS.
