Oppo A3 Pro to launch soon with IP69, 120 Hz OLED and 12 GB RAM at an affordable price
Oppo has confirmed in a teaser on the Chinese social network Weibo that the Oppo A3 Pro will be unveiled on Friday, April 12. While the teaser video already shows the modern design with a large, round camera module in three colors, the usually very reliable leaker Digital Chat Station also reveals the main specifications of the mid-range smartphone.
There are some surprises, led by the IP69 certification, which not only promises protection against dust and water but even against water at high pressure of up to 100 bar - from jets or a steam cleaner, for example. The device is said to feature a 6.7-inch, 120 Hz OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 64-megapixel f/1.7 main camera based on a 1/2-inch format sensor.
A 5,000 mAh battery and the option of up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory round off the features. As a first Geekbench run-through shows, the mid-range smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 a 6 nm ARM chip from the previous year, which has four powerful ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores with clock frequencies of up to 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocking at 2.0 GHz.
The Oppo A3 Pro is apparently already being delivered with Android 14. No details on the price are yet known, but the direct predecessor was launched on the market for a recommended retail price of around 240 euros, so the Oppo A3 Pro should offer an attractive price-performance ratio.
