OnePlus has just presented a new mid-range smartphone, the K12, that is set to impress with a 120 Hz AMOLED display, a 5500 mAh battery with 100-watt fast charging and a powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 at an attractive price.

The OnePlus K12, which has just been launched, is a new variant of the OnePlus Nord CE 4. The features are identical apart from the storage & memory configurations on offer.

The price-performance ratio is certainly impressive, as OnePlus has installed a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and a 6.7-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 and a peak brightness of 1100 nits. The 16 MP f/2.4 selfie camera sits in a punch-hole, while the pill-shaped camera module on the back is equipped with a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS and an 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera. 4K videos can be recorded at 30 frames per second, 720p slow motion at a maximum of 240 fps.

A highlight of the hardware is the relatively large 5500 mAh battery, which can be charged via USB-C with up to 100 watts, which should make it possible to charge from 0 to 100% in just 27 minutes. According to OnePlus, the battery will still have 80% of its original capacity after four years of use. The K12 comes with ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 and supports infrared and NFC. The housing is said to be particularly resistant to falls.

Price and availability

The OnePlus K12 is launching in China with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage for 1899 yuan (approx. $262), the top model with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage costs 2499 yuan (approx. $345).
