OPPO has just confirmed that the Reno6 look is back (possibly by popular demand) in that smartphone's 2024 successors. Then again, the design is believed to pack much more cutting-edge specs than it could ever have hoped for back in 2021.
They include dual 50MP shooters for its traffic light camera hump, rounded out by a useful-sounding 8MP lens, according to a new TENAA listing. It certifies a device called the OPPO PJW110, thought to be the Reno12 Pro as it has an 8-core CPU clocked at 3.25GHz.
Accordingly, that processor might turn out to be the Dimensity 9300 of the higher-end Find X7, a first for the Reno series if so. Then again, that SoC will apparently drive an FHD+ AMOLED display of the ever-present 6.7-inch size, which will have another 50MP camera set into its punch-hole.
The Reno12 and/or 12 Pro is officially slated to launch as an "OPPO AI" smartphone on May 23, 2024 in China, with international availability (like that of the Reno11 Pro) possibly to follow.
