Oppo A3 Pro makes its debut as new mid-range 5G smartphone running Android 14 with IP69 certification
Oppo has officially presented the A3 Pro, having teased the device on Chinese social media in the last few days. As expected, the company has only introduced the device in China for now, with no word yet on an international release. For context, the company offers the A3 Pro in three memory configurations at the following prices:
- 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage - CNY 1,999 (~$276)
- 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage - CNY 2,199 (~$304)
- 8 GB RAM/512 GB storage - CNY 2,499 (~$345)
As far as we can tell, Oppo equips the A3 Pro with the same hardware regardless of the memory configuration. Thus, all variants are IP69 certified and feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 across their 6.7-inch display. For reference, the large display relies upon a 1080p AMOLED panel that delivers a 120 Hz refresh rate with 950 nits peak brightness.
On top of that, the A3 Pro finds itself with an in-display fingerprint scanner and an 8 MP front-facing camera (f/2.0), but only two rear-facing cameras (64 MP/2 MP) despite Oppo's best impressions to suggest otherwise. Moreover, Oppo equips the handset with a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset with eight CPU cores and a Mali-G68 GPU. Additionally, Oppo includes a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 67 W wired charging. However, the A3 Pro lacks any wireless charging technology to speak of. Please see Oppo's website for more details.
