Xiaomi POCO F6 Pro lands globally with early launch discounts
Xiaomi has now released a successor to the POCO F5 Pro (curr. $498 on Amazon), just over a year after debuting the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1-powered handset globally. This time, Xiaomi has equipped the POCO F6 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a more powerful option that delivers about 22% better performance than the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 in our tests. Additionally, the POCO F6 Pro features LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage, just like the POCO F6 that the company also announced today.
As the graphic below shows, the POCO F6 Pro powers its last generation flagship chipset with a 5,000 mAh battery that it recharges at 120 W through Xiaomi's HyperCharge solution. Moreover, the POCO F6 Pro finds itself with a 6.67-inch display that outputs at 3,220 x 1,440 pixels, 120 Hz and 4,000 nits peak brightness (1,200 nits HBM). Furthermore, the POCO F6 Pro contains the following camera hardware within its 160.86 x 74.95 x 8.21 mm and 209 g housing:
- Primary: 50 MP, f/1.6 aperture, 2.0 μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel, OIS
- Ultra-wide-angle: 8 MP, f/2.2
- Macro: 2 MP, f/2.4
- Front-facing: 16 MP
Meanwhile, Xiaomi's 'all-new' LiquidCool Technology 4.0 is on hand to minimise throttling, even with WildBoost Optimisation 3.0 activated. The POCO F6 Pro will go on sale on May 23 through Xiaomi directly, as well as through third parties like Amazon. At launch, the handset will start at £449.90 and €449.90 in the Eurozone.
