When Samsung's management will next take the stage is already widely known: As part of a summer Galaxy Unpacked event in the run-up to the Olympic Games in Paris, not only the successors to the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 (available here at Amazon) but also the Galaxy Watch7 and the first Galaxy Rings are expected to be launched on July 10, 2024. However, it is not yet completely clear which variants of these products will actually be launched.
For example, there have been many rumors about a potential Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, and a Galaxy Z Fold FE as an affordable entry-level foldable has also been discussed several times, but apparently has been cancelled by Samsung once again. When asked by an X user about the Ultra foldable, famously reliable US leaker Evan Blass recently responded with a "reliable" list of products that Samsung will be launching soon. The two Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 foldables are mentioned in the form of the codenames Q6/B6.
Galaxy Watch7 Ultra appears to be coming after all
In addition to the Galaxy Book4 Edge laptops with the Snapdragon X Elite chip, which were officially announced yesterday as part of Microsoft's Copilot+PC offensive, there are many new products on this list. Alongside the Galaxy Ring, these include the new Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds. The names of the Galaxy Watch6 are also exciting. Instead of Galaxy Watch7 Pro or Galaxy Watch 7 Classic, there will apparently be a Galaxy Watch7 Ultra in addition to the basic model and a slimmed-down Galaxy Watch FE at Galaxy Watch4 level.
A certification recently provided further details on both the four Galaxy Watch7 models and the Galaxy Watch FE. Whether the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra will actually turn out to be a more potent Apple Watch Ultra alternative - potentially even with blood glucose monitoring and in rectangular format, or whether Samsung is simply stepping up its marketing game here - remains to be seen.
