Vivo has announced that it will launch the new Watch GT smartwatch soon in China. The wearable is set to be officially unveiled alongside the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro smartphones at an event later this month.
Few details of the Watch GT have been revealed so far. A teaser poster (below) shared by Vivo on Weibo shows a wearable with a square face and a rotating crown on the right of the metallic casing. Customers will be able to choose between four colors: black, blue, pink and white. The first three colorways look to come with a silicone band, while the white edition appears to have a leather strap. Rumors suggest the smartwatch will support eSIM technology with Bluetooth calling and AI features such as smart reminders and customized watch faces. It has been suggested that the watch’s battery will allow it to run for up to 21 days with Bluetooth switched on. Plus, the wearable is said to be water-resistant to up to 2 ATM.
The Vivo Watch GT smartwatch will launch in China on May 30th, when its full specification will be revealed. The pricing of the new wearable remains to be seen. It is also unclear whether the company plans to roll out the watch to other markets like North America or Europe. Instead, customers in these regions could consider a model like this Apple Watch Series 9.
