OnePlus has announced an update for its latest wearable, the Watch 2. The model launched earlier this year as the second smartwatch from OnePlus, with a Nordic Blue Edition arriving in April. Now, the company is pushing software OPWWE231_11_A.94, or A.94, to the device.
The changelog lists a range of new features and enhancements for the Watch 2. These include two new apps: Relax and Barometer. Relax provides breathing exercises, while Barometer can show your current elevation and the atmospheric pressure. Users can now access the Music Controller during a workout by swiping left, and the workout UI has been optimized, with the number of fat-burning zones displayed increasing from three to five. Removing a watch face is also easier, and you can turn off “Tap to wake”.
There are changes to the Phone app when in Power Saver mode, with contacts and call logs displayed, and users can select their favourite contacts. Plus, various workout and health-related algorithms have been optimized, and there are some bug fixes. Alongside this smartwatch update, OnePlus has also released OHealth App Version 4.22, with changes to the Fitness tab and UI optimized for foldable phones. OnePlus notes that its latest update for the Watch 2 is being rolled out over the air, though it is unclear whether this is a phased release.
