Samsung's top-end smartwatches are usually unleashed with wireless charging; however, the potential desirability of that feature was tempered somewhat when the 2023 generation - even the highest-end Galaxy Watch6 Classic that can be found on Amazon - was revealed to have the exact same 10-watt (W) spec as their Watch5 forebears.
The Galaxy Watch7 series, on the other hand, will debut with yet another long-awaited update, according to its latest leaks. The FCC has just approved new Samsung wearables to use an upgraded EP-OL300 charger with an output of 5V/3A, or 15W.
Accordingly, the new Samsung SM-L305 and/or its variants the SM-L310 and SM-L315 might be fully compatible with the accessory's new top rate. The 3 alleged Galaxy Watch7 series members also ostensibly have a new model number system, whereas the rumored Watch FE does not.
It too may have been registered alongside the new SM-L3xxx wearables as the SM-R861. By contrast, however, it has a 5V/1A (5W) input via an equally old-school EP-OR825 puck...not an encouraging sign for its charging speed, but perhaps more of one for its launch price.
