The Huawei Watch 4 Pro is receiving an update to HarmonyOS 4.2. The latest software version, 4.2.0.339 (SP30C432E2R1P2), appears to be rolling out globally, though it is likely a phased release, meaning it may not have reached all eligible smartwatches yet.
Update 4.2.0.339 brings a range of new features to the Watch 4 Pro. These include new Star Explorer and Astrounut Leap smartwatches. There is Version 2.0 of the Health Glance app, which adds several tools like sleep apnea detection, and you can view various trends in your health data over time. Another improvement for health tracking is HUAWEI Screen 5.5+, which is said to enhance accuracy and make manually triggered checks faster. The new Stay Fit app lets you monitor metrics like calorie intake and active and resting calorie burn, and there are updates to the Cycle Calendar app, which you can use to track your menstrual cycle, such as smart predictions and a symptom log.
Other improvements include support for up to 40 alarms, a refresh for the training records display and enhanced Bluetooth call notifications. Plus, the Ultra Long Battery Life mode has been optimized with a new design and a grid mode. This HarmonyOS 4.2 update for the Watch 4 Pro will be available to download via the Huawei Health app. The company suggests that customers ensure they have the latest app version installed before starting the installation process and note that the smartwatch will automatically restart when the update is complete.
