The Huawei Eyewear 2 Sunglasses have been launched in China. Also referred to as the Huawei Smart Glasses 2 Sunglasses, the glasses have black square-shaped frames and UV400 protective lenses. The wearables were teased on social media earlier this month, with the original model arriving last year.
The Smart Glasses 2 Sunglasses features are the same as the standard version. These include reports of abnormal weather, flight boarding reminders, and app notifications read aloud. There is a built-in posture sensor to help you to improve your spine health, and you can also use the glasses to make calls or listen to music. The wearables are described as having an open listening design thanks to integrated speakers, though you could pair headphones, like the FreeBuds Pro 3, for more privacy. You can connect to multiple HarmonyOS devices, switching between them as necessary, with touch-based controls and a voice assistant. Plus, the battery allows the wearables to run for up to 11 hours on a single charge.
The Huawei Eyewear 2 Sunglasses are now available to pre-order in China at the discounted price of 2,199 yuan (~$305); the device's RRP is slightly higher at 2,299 yuan (~$320). Whether or when the glasses could go on sale in other regions like Europe remains to be seen.
