Rogbid has listed a new wearable on its global store, the Smart Ring 3. The wearable has many similarities to other devices from the company, such as the R2 smart ring. While the model is relatively cheap, you may wish to think twice before purchasing for several reasons.
The Smart Ring 3 is said to have sensors that monitor your heart rate, SpO2 level, and body temperature. However, the accuracy of this data needs to be clarified. The wearable is also advertised as providing sleep tracking, with insights viewable and available in the accompanying app for iOS and Android devices. Alongside these features are fitness logging, menstrual cycle tracking and an SOS tool, supposedly triggering a call or text message when you repeatedly tap the ring. Plus, you can control some functions of your connected smartphone, such as the camera and music playback, using touch gestures on the smart ring.
According to Rogbid, the smart ring can last up to seven days with typical use, which is the higher estimate for the Oura Ring Gen3 Horizon. The company suggests that the ring is ”ultra-lightweight” at 5 g (~0.2 oz) thanks to its 2.4 mm (~0.1 inch) thin nano ceramic body. Customers can choose between a Classic Black or Pearl White finish and seven sizes from 7 (56 mm) to 13 (71 mm). The Rogbid Smart Ring 3 is currently available at the discounted price of $99.99, $100 less than the $199.99 RRP; it is unclear how long this price will last. However, it is worth noting that the company only offers a 7-day return policy and does not provide a returns address on its website, stating that “if your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping address”. On top of this, customer reviews on Trustpilot, while limited in number, are poor.
