The US version of Xiaomi's Pinyin platform has been set up to offer similar potentially substantial discounts on interesting and/or lesser-known electronics and gadgets. They come from brands either spun off from the major OEM or closely associated with it: for example, 1MORE's latest ComfoBuds are currently up for crowdfunding on the site.
They are now joined by the Amovan Nova Smart Ring, another new wearable also backed to help the user with their sleep quality thanks to its in-built sensors. It is also rated to deliver "accurate monitoring" of other in-demand metrics such as blood oxygen and skin temperature with AI algorithms.
The Nova is also touted to stay on for 5 to 7 days of normal use (or for up to 15 days on standby) per charge, which is done using the custom stand that comes in the box. Xiaomi and Amovan also assert that its app will render "lifetime" service without ever asking for a regular fee.
The OEM also claims that the Nova ring comes with a "data security guarantee" and "threat protection" for the user's account, and that it complies with legislation such as the GDPR and CCPA.
The Amovan Nova Smart Ring comes in a range of sizes in black, gold or silver finishes (albeit for an unspecified material) for $129 at the time of writing, while the Oura Ring Gen3 still starts for $299 on Amazon.
