With an open-ear build that can accommodate unusually large 14.2mm drivers, a 4-mic noise-cancellation system for clearer voice calls and Bluetooth 5.3, the Fit SE Open Earbuds S31 are in truth a refresh of the S30s already available on Amazon. However, 1MORE indicates that these new versions are the ones to get if comfort in prolonged wear is your priority.
The OEM claims to have put all of the "understanding" into open-ear audio design garnered since the release of the S30s into making their immediate successors 30% lighter at just 8.2 grams per bud.
They also feature "cutting-edge, gravity-balanced" ear-hooks in a silicon coating for a "snug", skin-friendly fit - then again, the flexible wire on the inside is made of steel rather than titanium.
Nevertheless, the S31s are still rated for their predecessors' up to 30 hours of battery life per charge and IPX5 ingress protection. They could also be said to look better as their outer surfaces have their company's logo, whereas the S30s just read "1MORE" in the same place.
The S31s also come with a special launch price of $42.50 (or 15% off their full RRP) exclusively through 1more.com. Then again, they are only listed in white at the time of writing, whereas the S30s are also available in black.
