The OpenRock X seek to differentiate themselves from the typical pair of air conduction-based sports earphones with a build that integrates a new bi-axial joint for supposedly increased earhook comfort that doubles as a potentially attractive accent. They also boast Bluetooth 5.3 for multi-point connections, AI-powered noise reduction and potentially prolonged battery life.

OneOdio's air conduction specialist brand OpenRock is back, touting its latest pair of earphones as the perfect blend of immersive audio with awareness on the street or trail. Their new build boasts potentially increased articulation with an "ergonomic and durable" ear-hook joint encased in an eye-catching metallic silver casing.

Its new earphones are touted as a source of "Superior Sound Quality" with updated BassDirect technology, a new LISO 2.0 algorithm for improved clarity in audio playback, and OpenRock's "AI-enhanced" 4-mic system for call quality. Then again, they are rated for the SBC and AAC codices only, with no mention of the aptX support of their predecessors.

In addition, while they have relatively large 14.2mm drivers, other open-ear products have outdone them in that regard, as well they might due to their greater scope for space per bud.

Then again, the OpenRock Xs also offer IPX5-level waterproofing thanks to their sporty use-cases, more or less up-to-date Bluetooth 5.3 features and a USB-C case that is both rated to expand their estimated 12 hours of battery life to 48 and also integrates a handy pull-ring that might enhance its ease of use and portability.

The OpenRock X earphones have become available on Amazon starting at $179 (with a $10 off coupon for a limited time), albeit only in black for now.
