OneOdio purports to bring "professional monitor" performance to a relatively affordable tier of the wired headphone market with its latest Monitor 60 cans. The OEM asserts that their 50mm neodymium drivers, covered in thick vegan leather cups, have attained the Hi-Res Audio certification for the "ideal sound performance" and for reproduction in "rich detail".
More specifically, the Monitor 60s are are rated for a 20Hz-40KHz frequency response range, a 110+3 decibel (dB) sensitivity and an impedance of 38 ohms (Ω). Therefore, OneOdio claims that they fit into the recording studio as well as they do in the TV room.
The Monitor 60s are made of high-end materials, "jewellery-grade stainless steel" included, with a "reinforced" hinge that supports 90° turns in either direction for the one-sided monitor use-case.
Whether the headphones stand up to this "professional" pitch or not, OneOdio has thoughtfully thrown 3 cables in with their original packaging: one of 1.2 meters (m) in length with 3.5mm to 3.5mm connectors; another all-3.5mm wire of 3m in length, and a third that has the same jack at one end and the 1/4-inch (6.35mm) stereo interface at the other.
The OneOdio Monitor 60s are available now from vendors such as Amazon, currently priced at US$79.99.
