TCL C735 98-in QLED 4K TV shown at IFA with 120 Hz refresh rate
TCL has shown its new C735 98-in TV at IFA, also known as model 98C735. First announced at CES, the QLED 4K TV has an IMAX Enhanced display, with a 6,000:1 contrast ratio, a typical brightness of 450 nits and a wide 93% DCI-P3 color gamut. Plus, the device supports Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos and HDR10+. The screen has a 120 Hz refresh rate, with MEMC technology to smooth fast-moving images.
The TCL TV has features to suit gamers, including an HDMI 2.1 input port, a 15 ms input lag, VRR and ALLM. Running on Android R OS, you can control the C735 and other connected smart home devices with Google Assistant voice commands. With built-in Google TV, you can download apps for many popular streaming services or cast to the gadget via Google Chromecast. You can also use the TV to make or receive Google video calls, though it appears you would need to connect your own webcam here.
The gadget has an integrated sound system, with a 10 W and two 15 W speakers. The TCL C735 98-in, or 98C735, TV is already on sale in Germany for €6,500 and in Australia for AU$7,995. It is unclear what the MSRP is for the device, with rumors suggesting the product will usually retail for around US$8,000.
