Xiaomi Projector Mini launches as portable gadget with gaming mode
The Xiaomi Projector Mini has launched in China. The projector has a 720 p native resolution and a 1.2:1 throw ratio, casting images in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The device has an LED light source with a maximum brightness of 250 ANSI lumens and over 20,000 hours of expected lifetime.
The Projector Mini is portable and compact, measuring 95 x 98 x 153 mm (~3.7 x 3.9 x 6.0-in) and weighing 1.2 kg (~2.6 lbs). The gadget has an integrated battery that can last up to two hours between charges. An Amlogic T972 processor powers the Xiaomi projector with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage. The device also has built-in 1.5-in (~3.8 cm) 8 W speakers, and smart features include low blue light mode and autofocus. You can adjust the screen with tools such as four-point keystone correction, and the gadget is suitable for gaming, with as little as 40 ms latency.
You can control the projector with Xiao AI voice controls or the Mijia app and connect via HDMI, USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio ports. Plus, you can connect your smartphone to the device with a one-touch NFC feature. You can buy the Xiaomi Projector Mini in China for 2,799 yuan (~US$404). It is unclear whether or when the gadget could launch in other markets.
