Yarbo Yard Robot with lawn mowing, snow clearing and leaf blowing tools launches with Kickstarter campaign
A Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the Yarbo 3-in-1 Yard Robot has launched; the project has already raised over US$1,500,000. Yarbo claims that its new device is the world’s first multi-purpose smart yard robot, which you can use to carry out tasks outdoors all year round. Using a range of accessories, you can transform the robot into the Snow Blower S1, Lawn Mower M1 and Blower B1; the company suggests that it will continue to expand the line-up of modules in the future.
The Snow Blower B1 can throw snow as far as 40 ft (~12 m), with an intake height of up to 12-in (~30 cm). You can adjust the cutting height of the Lawn Mower M1 between 1.2-in and 4-in (~3 and 10 cm), and the Blower B1 can reach wind speeds up to 119 mph (~192 kph). The central robot uses the Yarbo Precise Positioning Vision System (PPVS), combining RTK-GPS and a range of sensors, meaning that perimeter wires are not required to guide the robot.
The gadget is designed to easily climb slopes up to 68% and intelligently avoid obstacles. You can control Yarbo via an accompanying smartphone app, with real-time monitoring and theft alerts. The 36 V 38.4 Ah lithium-ion battery works in temperatures as low as -30 °C (~-22 °F), and the robot will automatically dock when it needs to recharge.
You can currently receive the Yarbo 3-in-1 Yard Robot when you pledge US$3,699 to the Kickstarter campaign. The product is shipping worldwide, with deliveries expected in December. You can also buy the Yarbo Lawn Mower M1, Yarbo Snow Blower S1 and Yarbo 2-in-1 Yard Robot with pledges of US$2,599, US$2,799 and US$3,399, respectively.
