Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Frying Oven 30L launches with 1.32-in OLED touchscreen
Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Smart Air Frying Oven 30L. According to Xiaomi, the multipurpose device is “professional grade”, cooking food evenly and producing a crisp surface. The company claims you can also use the air fryer as an oven, toaster, BBQ or yoghurt maker. The gadget has a large 30 L capacity with five cooking zones, which you can use simultaneously. The device contains two NTC temperature probes, and you can control the heat with a 1 °C (~2 °F) accuracy.
In the Mijia smartphone app, you can control the device and choose from a wide range of smart recipes which you can customize. Using an integrated NFC, you can tap your smartphone against the gadget to open the recipes section of the app. Xiaomi indicates that it will continue to update its recipe selection. You can control the device with Xiao AI voice commands or using the built-in 1.32-in (~3.35 cm) OLED screen on the dial or two touch buttons. The company suggests that the large viewing window on the oven door makes it easy to record food photos and videos, should you wish.
The oven has six heating elements, which can blast hot air at 2,000 revolutions per minute from the top of the gadget, moving around the device thanks to a six-blade turbofan. You can currently pre-order the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Frying Oven 30L in China for 749 yuan (~US$105). After this presale period, the kitchen gadget is expected to retail for 899 yuan (~US$126). It is unclear whether or when the device could launch in other markets.
