Xiaomi Mijia All-Round 1S robot vacuum and mop launches with fully automated dock
Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia All-Round 1S robot vacuum and mop. The company claims that the device is fully automated, with clean and wastewater pipes connected to the self-cleaning dock. The vacuum’s dust bin is emptied at the station in ten seconds, allowing up to 30 days of hands-free cleaning. The mop is washed and dried, the clean water tank replenished, and detergent is automatically added as needed.
The robot vacuum has up to 4,000 Pa suction power across four-speed modes and dual mop heads to pick up deeper stains. Smart features of the device include S-Cross AI obstacle avoidance technology and sensors that can detect carpets and lift the mop accordingly; this tool only works on carpets with a pile under 5 mm (~0.2-in). You can control the device with Xiao AI voice commands or the Mijia app, altering settings and scheduling future cleans.
The docking station measures 423 x 568 x 340 mm (~16.7 x 22.4 x 13.4-in), while the robot measures 350 x 104 mm (~13.8 x 4.1-in). You can currently buy the Xiaomi Mijia All-Round 1S robot vacuum and mop in China for 3,699 yuan (~US$519); the device is expected to retail for 3,999 yuan (~US$561) in the future. It is unclear whether Xiaomi plans to launch the product in other markets.
